Tom the Cat
[College] Today was the day we skinned the poor neko. Lyn is my lab partner and we named ours, Tom. He had a white coat which we successfully removed in one piece. One of the other cats was pregnant and we’re wondering how many embryos Grace and Arvie will find. The formalin and sponging solution was terrible 
but aside from that, skinning the cat was fun. BTW, today was the first time I ever touched a cat and it happened to be dead. How sad. But I told you, I am NOT a cat person.
[People] Most of the time, I am a pretty good judge of character. Sometime during senior year (HS), I think I lost my touch for a brief span of time. I got to know this guy at my old high school and he seemed like a cool guy who could overlook eccentricities but after some time, he turned into a garden variety jerk. What a disappointment! If I wanted to be treated like I belonged somewhere at the bottom of the food chain, 
I would’ve just saved myself from a lot of misery and said: “Goodbye, cruel world!” Gah! I don’t know why I suddenly remembered him but oh! 
[The Museum] Oh, before I forget! I went to The Museum at DLSU-M with Icy and Garie after CompAna. I loved the graphite on paper pieces by Carlos “Botong” Francisco and Fernando Amorsolo. There was also this black and white painting (just slashes of black and white, sort of like calligraphy) by Cesar Legaspi that I stared at for quite a while because it seemed so easy to create but there was definitely more to it that what you see at first glance. It was beautiful. Well, at least to me.

and too bad about that guy… funny how we can easily misjudge someone, and turns out to be a stab in the back!!

I remembered when we dissected a frog. THAT was gross!! The frog was jumping non stop and their skin was totally icky! We named ours "Neville." About the Nokia 3200, yeah, as soon as I got it, itwas practically glued on my hands! But after a week or two, your life will be normal.. again, just a bit

I had to dissect a pig once. That was so gross and I just let everyone else in my group do it. lol I have a very weak stomach.
I wish I was good at judging other people’s characters, but I’m not. Lately I’ve been realizing a lot of my mistakes I’ve made in that.

I don’t think that I would be able to skin a cat. I would break into tears. But I suppose I could detach myself enough that it would be just any other thing, and I could. I did cut open a baby pig. I named him Mumpo after a character in a book about a family of circus freaks.

It seems that, that painting you were talking about is very pretty. I wish I’m able to go and see it. blah.
Judging people by character..yea..I guess I’m good at that. But sometimes..it happens to me too. Where I mess up and I find out that that wasn’t such a good person..ack.

cat skinning sounds fun. hope i could take bio when i reach college. haha. yeah, sometimes we judge another person in a good way without knowing that person is "pangit". a person may be different outside, but inside sooo different.

Hey, Fatima. I really miss talking to you. The reason why I asked about Spellbinding the other day is because I really miss it as well.
