Let the light pierce through the darkness Close all old accounts, turn a new leaf Re-learn that old lesson of friendship Kill nor be killed, settle for lessening Amidst us of this fossilized hatred
Transient Dreams
glimpses of life… silence and chaos; laughter and tears…
Perhaps that time has not come yet when our, Gods would listen to the beats in our hearts, peace and happiness spread their glow, perhaps we would have to force Mother Time?.
December Weddings
Updates — I finished the new layout for the collective but it might take longer to “reopen” the site because I ran into some trouble with the coding. I can’t get it to look the way I want it to. Oh well… I’m going to redo the layout.
I had a pretty good day. I finally found the jacket I wanted - my mom bought it for me.
Anyway, it was so funny. I didn’t really want to go out today because I wanted to continue working on my sites… I dragged myself off to shower and get dressed because I wanted to enroll today (I wanted to stay away from school until the last possible minute; i.e. the start of classes which would be on the 7th - but it turned out that the school is closed until the 2nd of January. argh!
). I must have changed clothes at least four times! I wanted to wear the purple tunic my mom gave me for Christmas (yes, my mom loves to buy me clothes because back in high school, I absolutely hated going shopping) but I eventually settled on a plain white top. And it turned out to be a good thing that I decided against the purple shirt! When we went off to to buy a gift for the wedding my parents are going to attend tomorrow, I saw a girl wearing exactly the same shirt!
hahaha!
December = Weddings.
1. My parents are going to a wedding tomorrow.
2. We went to the National Shrine of the Sacred Heart of Jesus to buy a mass card for New Year’s and there was a wedding.
3. And my sister is talking about weddings again. I actually want her to get married already..haha. She’s turning 29 next July! Anyway, she wants to have a green motif. When we were looking for a dress for my mom earlier, she showed me the exact shade she wants for her bridesmaids’ dresses.
Well… There’s this superstition that the eldest/older child has to get married first. Otherwise, he/she won’t be able to marry… But my brother is planning on getting married in two years. My sister is just worried that she might have a hard time bearing children if she waits too long.
Personally, I’d rather wait. I mean, I love kids and I want to have my own someday. But that doesn’t mean I will get married. And I just haven’t found the person I want to build a family with. Plus, I’m too young. Marriage is not something I can see in the near future. Besides, our parents aren’t really against having a child out of wedlock anymore. I think they really want grandchildren of their own. At least, our mom does.
Mental note: *Must* watch The Restless. I saw it on one of the TVs at the mall’s home section earlier.
The Restless is a 2006 fantasy South Korean film directed by Jo Dong-oh, starring Kim Tae-hee and Jeong Woo-seong. The film’s Korean title literally means “Midheaven”.
Plot Summary
In fictional ancient Korea, Yi Gwak is a demon hunter who lost his lover, Yon-hwa, and colleagues of demon hunters in the past. He enters the Midheaven, a transitory place for spirits, only to find the spirit of Yon-hwa who has forgotten about him. His deceased former mentor, Ban-chu, masterminds a demonic rebellion in Midheaven, wishing to invade the living world.Source: Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
haha. What a coincidence… Midheaven?

LOL, I know what you mean about not wanting to go out. There are days when I’m like that. LOL.
Wow, crazy about a girl wearing the same shirt. I hardly ever see anyone wearing anything that I have!
LOL about your sister turning 29… Haha, reminds me of the guy I like and his grandmother saying that he’s old already and he should get married. =P He’s younger than your sister. LOL.
But wow, I didn’t know that the eldest has to get married first…
I do the same thing at times too.
Especially when I have a load of things to settle at home, I wouldn’t budge from the house. And I can name a few occasions where I insist on remaining at home because I wanted to work on my domain.
I haven’t heard this superstition about the eldest having to get married first. I just thought it was a natural thing. (As in, the eldest need not get married first but this is what usually happens.) But this pattern seems to be prevalent in my extended family so far!
Ah, for some reason I hate when people have clothes that I have. It irks me and I want to walk up to her and tell her it looks better on me, just kidding LOL.
That’s pretty cool that you want to just have kids and not have to be committed to someone. I think everyone should be able to be parents, despite their marital status.
I have trouble wanting to get up and out sometimes myself. It’d be nice to just sit back and relax doing what I want to do for a change, sometimes that’s just not the case.
I hear you on the wedding talk. Even though I’ve found someone that I’m hoping to spend the rest of my life with, I’m not exactly running down the isle either.
I have heard of the “eldest marries first” tradition, no one in my family has followed it though. Could be why my parents marriage was doomed from the start - who knows. My mother was the oldest but her younger sister (second oldest of the four) was married about a year before my parents. My parents are now divorced and the aunts marriage is hanging on by a string.
Maybe traditions aren’t SO bad, but the “eldest married first” sounds more like a superstition - heh.
I hadn’t heard that superstition, either. Us only children don’t have to worry so much.
Hopefully she doesn’t rush into it just so that she can get married first… it’d be awful to get stuck married to the wrong guy.
I’ve actually heard that superstition before

LOL about the girl wearing the purple tunic, that would have been embarassing lol.
Hey hey heeey!!! Lol, so is this still going to be your blog? Whee, you were my first commenter after returning!
That makes me feel so special. ^^ Thank you so much my dear, it makes me feel still remembered and cared about. Hehe.
OMG I get that feel so much. When your parents or someone wants to take you out somewhere — and it’s sweet and all — but you’re just so lazy you don’t feel like getting dressed for the outside world? Lol, I get that so much. Actually, I’m kind of going through something like that right now — now that it’s winter break. ^^
Hehe, I’ve heard of that superstition…usually it’s to make fun of the older sibling though, for us anyway. =P
Ooo, I’ve heard of The Restless! I haven’t watched it yet but it’s on my “to watch” list. I’ve got so many things that I want to watch…T_T
She’s 29? She better hurry! Retirement is just around the corner. Hehe… kidding. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a wedding… they look gay with all the white and stuff….
gay I tell you…
Weedings ! I love going to weddings, i love watching people fall in love too so that all comes together
. Yeah, but just like you said …. i dont think i want to get married ; well its gonna wait . Marragie is not what I see either …. i mean yeah I like weddings but not for me.
=/
i love shopping for clothes but my mom also buys for me. i don’t know why
anyway, i find it pretty funny whenever i saw someone wearing the same thing i’m wearing… not awkward, just funny! because there’s another weird person as you! kidding!
i never heard of that tradition but i hope my aunt won’t have a chance to read that because my father is the 3rd child in their family and was the first one who got married! hahaha XD
lol, i really enjoyed your story about your wardrobe selection.
i remember when i was little, my friends and i loved to match with our outfits, but now i absolutely hate it… isn’t that weird? i don’t really understand it, but i just don’t like it when someone is wearing my shirt.
yay for weddings! :D
Hey thanks for posting on my site hope your christmas went well, a got a new cpu overhaul yay!!!
My parents dragged me out today for DIY shopping, I managed to pass the time by pretending to be a ninja. Lemme tell you its hard to do any kind of work at home when youve got 3 builders jack hammerring in the garage grrrrrrr really annoying!!!
Thanks again
