Let the light pierce through the darkness Close all old accounts, turn a new leaf Re-learn that old lesson of friendship Kill nor be killed, settle for lessening Amidst us of this fossilized hatred
Transient Dreams
glimpses of life… silence and chaos; laughter and tears…
Perhaps that time has not come yet when our, Gods would listen to the beats in our hearts, peace and happiness spread their glow, perhaps we would have to force Mother Time?.
Why can’t I ignore it?
I’m starting to feel silly about that last protected post. Sarah was probably the only one who read it but…hahaha. I can’t believe I went through with it. It was a birthday gift that was also sort of a dare.
Anyway, I started writing this entry two days ago (before the protected post) but ended up rewriting it a couple of times. I figured no one wanted to hear about how sad I’ve been feeling lately. LOL. Besides, it comes and goes. If you ask me how I’m feeling right now, I’d still say I’m happy. I have to thank for that.
A friend of mine shared something with me a few weeks ago — stuff about breaking up, letting go and moving on. I thought I’d blog about it because told me something yesterday that reminded me of it — mind you, this is unrelated and is actually about someone my friend and I knew in college, let’s call her Kate (because I don’t have any friends named Kate).

Ohhh Charlie, you’re so funny!
And by Charlie, I mean my sister Leslee. Because she loves Charlie — as in Charlie Brown in Peanuts. I like Lucy van Pelt but they say I’m more like Sally Brown. Maybe that’s because one of my favorite comic strips is when Sally goes to wake up Charlie, “I hate to tell you but it’s time to get up, Charlie Brown.” Then Charlie says, “If you hate to tell me then why do you tell me?” Sally replies, “Because I really love to tell you…” and heads out the door. Oh okay, I get it because I can be stubborn like her. But she has a good heart.
Anyway…
I had a funny conversation with my sister last Sunday — about sex. I can’t post the details here because one of my goddaughters (I have two, and one godson) recently discovered my blog and I’d rather not be the one to pollute her innocent mind. It started when we went grocery shopping and bought some chips — think of the Pringles slogan. I kept telling her that “there’s no such thing as bad habits, only vices” and she said, “yun ang pinakamasarap na bish,1 *insert Pringles slogan here*” — something like that.
I’ve been talking to my friends a lot for the past few days. Especially my MMA buddies. Psyche txts me now and then about software — I promised to help her as much as I could even though I’m on leave (and probably won’t be coming back). I can answer her questions about Photoshop but I don’t know anything about Maya!
I watched some of the ABS-CBN animators work during my OJT but I was too shy (then) to sit down and tinker around with them even when the person in charge of the workshop (training) said I could. pfft.
I’ve also been catching up with Dol (Niñ’s ex). Who would’ve thought we had so much in common?!
I wanted to visit my cousins in the hospital earlier. Bennyppe has an abdominal infection and might need surgery. Janz has Dengue and might need platelet transfusion. My mom wouldn’t let me go because I had Dengue fever syndrome back in high school - it’s not contagious by human contact (transmission is by man » mosquito » man) but my mom doesn’t want to take chances. I know my cousin’s in a lot of pain. I remember when I got sick, I was in the hospital for a whole week and couldn’t move - it hurt all over. Every test they did felt a hundred times worse than usual. I thought I was going to die..I felt so cold
but I was lucky, my symptoms were actually mild compared to most cases. My cousin probably feels much, much worse than I did then.
EDIT, 8:16 am
Bennyppe’s going to need surgery. They found a cyst in one of her ovaries. And her uterus and fallopian tubes have been affected too. We’re still waiting for other test results. I don’t think they have the results of the CT scan of her abdomen yet.
I have two new hostees! Please welcome Sarah Marie and Joey to the Midheaven Family!
- bish — their slang for “vice” - most of the time they use it to refer to smoking or cigarettes; i.e. “May bish ka?” ↩
