Jim went grocery-shopping today (I’m so lucky to have a husband who doesn’t mind going grocery-shopping on a Sunday.) and bought tacos! He also bought me Dutch Apple Pie. He’s so thoughtful. He always remembers the things I like. Anyway, the tacos were supposed to be for dinner but we ended up making it early. He bought the Taco Bell double deckers. It was so good! (I’m always wary of cooking ground beef — I stood by the stove almost the whole time I was cooking it.)
My mother-in-law wrote me an email today asking about Thanksgiving. Jim and I are hosting it this year and everyone’s bringing something. We’re going to try doing the turkey. I’m so nervous! I’ve never cooked turkey. I was usually in charge of finger food, sandwiches, salads and desserts. Oooh, I’m going to make graham cake. :D That’s one thing I know people will like. It’s always been a hit at home. I might make homemade ice cream too.
Wish us luck with the turkey!!!

Taco Bell double deckers, and then cooking it? I’m confused… Yeah, when I make my own tacos, I make it with ground turkey instead of beef. Actually, anything with ground beef in it for the recipe, I use ground turkey. I don’t mind at all.

Jim bought the kind that you can make at home? It comes with everything – tacos, tortillas, the taco sauce mix, cheese – except the ground beef which you have to buy separately and cook.
Oh my sister-in-law’s husband does that too (substitutes turkey for beef).
