Rose Letter – Version 1.0

So… I have a new theme. It’s not as great as the last one I had up but hey, it took me just a few minutes to make it! It started off with multiple sidebars but coding was a pain. I’m sure we all feel the same way about Internet Explorer. Oh well… This will have to do! It seems to be working fine in Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Safari, and IE but if you encounter any errors, please contact me so I can fix it.

Rose Letter — not very original, I know. And the first WordPress theme I ever made (years ago) was called “Letters” – pfft. It was so…green. LOL. I’m happy with this one because it’s widget-enabled. ;)

Yes, I got the name from that image I used for the header. It was part of my Time (concept) portfolio for FOTOGRA. I can’t remember the title I’d written down for it.

Let me know what you think! ;) I still need to add some stuff to the stylesheet but I’ll do that later — probably sometime next week. I have to get some sleep. I promised my mom I’d go to church with her at 6 AM! Then we’re probably going to be busy for the rest of the day. Good night! :thoughtful:

EDIT, 12:52 PM: I’m redoing some of the images and the coding so things might be a little wonky.

EDIT, 03:31 PM: Done! I changed the background to a light color. I think it looks better now.

EDIT, 06:12 PM: Expect Version 2.0 before October. I really, really want to spruce this up. I feel like something’s missing.

EDIT, 19 SEP 2008, 01:24 AM: I couldn’t sleep so I worked on the theme again… This is Version 2.0! haha. :p Thank you to everyone who commented on the first version! ^_^

EDIT, 19 SEP 2008, 02:07 PM: I changed everything around again. Back to dark colors. pfft. It suits my mood anyway. I’ll probably change it again in a few days.

.. . . .

Hey! It’s Thursday!!! Supernatural!!! :bouncy: :hyper: :silly: :giggly:

Catching Up

I finally got around to upgrading my blog. Transient Dreams is now running on WordPress 2.5. I didn’t like the new admin panel much so I’m using Dean Robinson‘s Fluency Admin. I also uploaded a new theme, as you may have noticed.1 ;) I’m going to leave this up until I find the time to make my own WP 2.5-compatible theme.

Yesterday was a pretty good day. I did something that people don’t usually do! — I found a Motorola phone in the girls’ restroom at the 11th floor of the SDA building and turned it over to the 9th floor Lost and Found section.2 I hope the owner thought of looking there… She might have just assumed that it was gone forever. It’s a well-known fact that when you lose a cellphone, it usually turns up in Quiapo or Greenhills. :blah: I know someone who got held up and saw his old phone again.3

I haven’t been on Yahoo! Messenger for a while but Jim and I chatted when the phones started acting up so I’ve been leaving YM open.4 Two of my closest friends from college, Icy and Jenny, caught me online and we finally got the chance to talk. I haven’t seen either of them for over a year now. Icy is worried about med school and Jen broke up with her boyfriend last February. We mostly talked about how life is so much different now than it was back when we were still in college. We had different problems than we do now but I suppose everything was easier then, even though we didn’t think so at the time. I like to think we’re better equipped to handle problems now.

I just wish we were all a bit happier. I mean, I know I am — I’m happier than I’ve ever been in a long while.5 I just wish my friends were too.

Jen and I are planning to see each other the week after next. I need to call M-Rize and see when she’d be available. We have a lot of catching up to do!

  1. for some reason, the smilies aren’t loading correctly. They’re all floating to the left. I’ll have to figure out how to fix it later. I deleted some attributes from the stylesheet. The theme didn’t go wacko so I guess it’s all good.
  2. I think it was an L6.
  3. It was his, he knew every centimeter of that phone.
  4. I usually only login when I need to talk to Niñ.
  5. Well, except for the school thing.
